Other Manufacturers

Taylor and Barrett
Established before the Second World War by two brothers-in-law, Fred Taylor and A.R. Barrett, the company produced a range of diecast models including a trolleybus and various commercial vehicles.

After the War the partners split and formed separate companies: F.G. Taylor & Sons and Barrett & Sons. In the 1960s these companies produced plastic models following themes similar to the Britains Farm and Floral Garden ranges, although not to such a high quality, and with which they are often confused.

Playmates
Playmates Toys is a toy manufacturer that produced a number of lines of Star Trek action figures, vehicles and accessories in the mid to late 1990s. In the UK and Europe, these products were distributed by Bandai.

Schuco
Legendary German toy company formed in 1912. Known for its mechanical innovations, many of which were patented. Made toys in tinplate until plastics and diecasting came to the fore in the 1960s. Acquired by Dundee Combex Mark in 1977 but following financial problems many of the dies were sold to GAMA. Others went to Brazil, Russia and Norev in France. Today Schuco provides re-runs of many of the original tin plate models, plus a range of vehicles die-cast in 1:43 and 1:87 scales.

Delivery is based on total weight. Minimum charge is £2.40 for diecast toys (e.g. Matchbox 1-75). Minimum charge for smaller items is £1.20.
