Your Order While we try to keep the web site up to date, all items are offered for sale subject to availability. When we receive your order we will reserve the item(s) for you and send you an email confirming availability and payment details. Your item(s) will be shipped as soon as payment is received (see Payment below).

After you place an order there will be a short delay before the message "SOLD" appears next to an item on the web site. There is a small chance that another customer may order the same item during this period. In this event the item will be assigned to the first order received, and the second customer will be informed that the item is no longer available. We never request payment for items that are out of stock.
Delivery Policy Catalogue prices exclude delivery. The delivery charge is added at the checkout and is based on the approximate total weight of the package, the destination and the delivery method. The delivery charge includes packaging and handling. Insurance is optional for all destinations: we can only accept responsibility for loss or damage in transit if insured delivery is chosen. Orders for multiple items may be split into two or more packages.

PLEASE NOTE: We normally ship only to the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australasia. Other destinations are by prior arrangement only.

Orders are despatched immediately upon receipt of payment, either the same day or the first available business day. Within the UK most items are delivered the following day, although very heavy items may take 3-5 days. For the rest of the world, delivery is normally within 3-5 days. Insured services will require a signature on delivery and may be tracked at www.royalmail.com.

Payment We accept the following payment methods:

UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australasia
Credit and Debit Cards via Paypal. Instructions will be sent with confirmation of order. Paypal is one of the world's leading on line payment services and is fast and secure. We make no extra charge for the use of this service.

UK Only
Payment in Pounds Sterling is accepted in the form of a cheque drawn on a UK bank account, a UK banker's draft or building society cheque, or a Post Office postal order.

No other forms of payment will be accepted without prior agreement. Please DO NOT send cash by post.
Tax We are not a tax-registered business and therefore prices do not include tax.
Privacy Policy Tortoys does NOT store customers' financial details (including credit/debit card numbers).

Tortoys does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than carriers for delivey purposes. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.
Data collected by this site is used solely to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders.
b. Inform customers by email, if they request, of Tortoys offers and promotions.
Cancellation Policy You may cancel all or part of an order at any time prior to despatch. A full refund will be made immediately we are notified of the cancellation. Once an order has been despatched, our Returns policy will apply.

Returns Policy Any item may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price, whatever the reason. If you are returning an item because it is not as described on our website we will also refund the delivery costs. Please contact us for a returns reference number before returning anything to us.
Remittance Terms Payment on confirmation of order. If payment is not received within 7 days of the order being placed the order will be cancelled and the items put back on sale.

  DELIVERY

Delivery is based on total weight. Minimum charge is £2.40 for diecast toys (e.g. Matchbox 1-75).   Minimum charge for smaller items is £1.20.

To see the charge for particular items, just add them to the basket, go to Checkout and select your country.  The delivery charge will be displayed.  You don't have to buy at this stage!

All items are "one-offs" and offered subject to availability. Availability and payment details will be confirmed on receipt of your order, usually within 24 Hours.
