This tinplate model was made in India by Amar-Toy during the 1980s, aimed at adult collectors of 'retro' models. It is a copy of a toy produced by ATC of Japan in the mid 1950s, although not of the same quality. Described on the box as a 'Minister Delux', the real-life prototype for the model was the 1954 Pontiac Chieftain 2-door sedan. The model captures the features of the real car quite well, with the distinctive central bonnet and boot trim and other chrome parts reproduced in tin-plated metal. The windscreen and rear window are 'glazed'. The wheels have 'chrome' bub caps and metal whitewalls, with black rubber tyres, and there is a friction motor driving the back axle.

This example is finished in black cream, with gold interior and black base. The paintwork is generally very good with a few small marks, and with some tarnishing to the brightwork. The paint finish on the driver's side has some sagging and a fingerprint! The box features suitably 1950s-style artwork, and has some age wear.
