Britains 142F Single Horse General Purpose Plough

Ref: 28259

Excellent, box Good

Price: 57.50

A charming model of a horse-drawn plough, complete with ploughman. The plough is cast in lead, and is in light blue and red with silver mouldboard and coulter. The towing hook and handles are black, and the wheels are red. The light grey hollow-cast horse has dark grey mane, tail and hooves, black and silver collar and tan harness. It is attached to the plough via a pair of wire traces and a dark brown whippletree (or swingletree as it says on the box). The ploughman figure is dressed in dark brown trousers and braces with white shirt, grey hat and lighter brown boots.

This set is in excellent condition. There are some scratches on the side of the horse where the traces have been fitted, and for some reason one side of the horse is a lighter shade of grey than the other. The light brown box has line drawings on the top and bottom, and is in good condition with a little wear. The price of 3/5 (three shillings and fivepence) is written on one end.
