The 'beetle' general service army truck was introduced in the 1930s and used by the British Army. There were Morris and Commer versions; the Britains model appears to be based on the rarer Commer.

In military green, with light brown 'canvas' roof and side screens, and silver headlights, and front bumper. The cab has a driver figure and steering wheel, and the roof is removable.

Originally introduced in 1940, this second version has a tow hook which allowed the model to form part of the Britains 'Clockwork' series, in which a trailer containing a clockwork motor could be hitched to a variety of Britains vehicles to make them move along.

This one is in excellent condition, with light play wear and some patches of rust on the axles.
