This is the earliest version of the Corgi James Bond Aston Martin, released in 1965 - not to be confused with later versions and re-releases! In gold with red interior and 'wire' wheels with black tyres. There are several operating features: a rear bullet-proof screen pops up when you press the exhaust pipe, and switches on the side operate the extending front machine guns and overriders, and of course the famous ejector seat.

This example is in pretty good condition: the paintwork has light general wear, with chipping around the roof opening and the usual scratch on the roof where it hits the back of the opening when the ejector seat is operated - a common fault! Everything works, although the rear bullet screen is a bit 'sticky' and needs a little manual assistance. The ejector seat has lost its headrest; it still works, but the roof sits low when closed. There is also a hairline crack in the top of the windscreen. The original James Bond and 'baddie' figures are present. The suspension works well at both front and rear; the front tyres appear original, while the rear ones are replacement 1970s-style Corgi tyres.

This example comes with its original inner box and inner display stand, both of which are good apart from the outer box having a missing end flap. The exciting part is that the original instruction sheet is present, in its original envelope, along with a spare 'bandit'.
