This unusual-looking craft was from 'The Investigator', a proposed Gerry Anderson TV series that was piloted in 1973 but never produced. It has a white metal hull with mid blue plastic mast and engine unit at the stern, and blue and yellow 'COASTGUARD' labels on the sides. On the bow deck is a dark blue hatch which flips open when you turn the adjacent searchlight, to reveal a missile launcher.

The cockpit has red seats, black steering wheel and a driver figure. There is storage for spare missiles at the rear. The base is black plastic, and the model has four black wheels.

The model is generally excellent, but the label on one side has faded. There are no missiles - there were originally three - but spares are obtainable from various sources; they are the same as those used in the 691 Alvis Striker. The box is very good, with a price written on two faces.
