An impressive model, with light blue trailer and decks and mid blue cab and wheel hubs. The Bedford tractor unit has a black grille and bumper, with silver trim. The trailer, which is cast in aluminium, has a hinged rear ramp. 'DINKY TOYS DELIVERY SERVICE' lettering in dark blue on the trailer sides and ramp. Model number '982' is cast on the underside.
In fair-to-good condition, light general chipping on the trailer and heavier chipping on the cab. One of the headlamps is slightly bent. The lettering on the trailer is very well preserved, although the '20' plate on the ramp is largely absent. The ramp hinges are intact, the tyres are very good and the axles are rust-free.
Although being sold as unboxed, the model comes with the remnants of the bottom half of the box - see bottom photo.
