This model is based on a real vehicle of which only one prototype was built in 1958, based on a Leyland 'Dromedary' chassis. Because of its futuristic appearance, this model made one or two appearances in the contemporary 'Thunderbirds' TV series!
Finished in the British Petroleum livery of green, yellow and white, with 'BP' decals on the sides, front and rear. The base is black and the wheels are black plastic with coarse tread.
This example is in excellent condition. There are a few little nicks in the paint on the edge of the roof. One of the side decals has a hole in the white background, but the other three decals are fully intact. The axles are rust-free.
The box is generally in good shape with light wear, but there is slight crushing on one 'plain' side and a hole in one face. A price of 2/6 (two shillings and sixpence, or half a crown) is written in pencil on the other face.
