This is the earlier 'Kent Fire Brigade' version of the Shand-Mason Fire Engine. This model is drawn by 2 white cast metal horses with grey manes and tails. The fire engine itself is red (of course!) with 'brass' pump and black metal spoked wheels. The rear step has 11 slats, marking this as an early casting: later ones had the slats filled in as the die deteriorated.
This one has 2 of its original 3 black plastic firemen with gold-painted helmets and breastplates. There is some paint chipping along the body edges.. The decals are fully intact.
