Denzil Skinner

Formed in 1952 by Denzil Skinner, a former Colonel in the Royal Tank Corps, Denzil Skinner & Co. Ltd made a wide range of metal models in different scales. These included military vehicles, model tanks supplied to the MOD for recognition training, regimental badges and architectural models. In the late 1950s they produced tractor models for Morris Motors (Nuffield) and David Brown. Based in Camberley, Surrey and later Hartley Witney, Hampshire, the company traded until 1982 but was subsequently reborn as Hart Models, evolving through Hartsmith Models, and finally ASAM Models.
