This was one of a range of kits based on the existing range of Airfix 1:32 static car kits, but with the addition of a motor, chassis and other components to build a slot car with Ackerman steering.
Moulded in red plastic with black roof, this one has been built to a good standard, and carries racing number 7. There are some small glue/scratch marks just behind the rear window. The motor runs well. The model comes in its original outer box, which has some creases and a few tape marks but displays well - the illustration on the lid is particularly nice, showing the E-Type alongside the Airfix Mini, Ford Zodiac and Sunbeam Rapier.
Note that this model is designed to run on Airfix track, which has wider conductor rail spacing than Scalextric.
