Scammell Handyman MKIII crane truck in the Chipperfields colours of red and light blue, with silver-grey footplate. The cab has twin jewelled headlights, 'CHIPPERFIELDS' label above the windscreen, and a red interior with silver-grey steering wheel. The crane mechanism is the same as the one used on the earlier Corgi 1121 crane truck. It has a light blue housing with a 'Come to the Circus' label on the nearside only (this is correct), and a silver-grey tinplate jib and silver metal hook. The hook can be raised and lowered by turning the handle at the rear, and the jib can also be raised and lowered with the spring-loaded rear 'ratchet'.
The wheels are unpainted cast metal with black tyres, double at the rear, with suspension featuring a 'live' rear axle. There is a tow hook at the rear.
With a transparent plastic cage with sliding door, and containing a rhino.
Excellent condition, in full working order and just a few tiny rubs. The rear body mounting to the chassis is a little loose, and there is a very small crack in the edge of the cage door. The rhino is complete with its original plastic packing piece.
