An interesting model of a Ford Capri-based dragster from the UK's Santa Pod drag strip. The bodyshell is in white with a blue side stripe, and with various labels including advertising for Custom Car magazine. Windows are amber tinted.
When the central part of the front bumper is pressed, the bodyshell flips up with a spring action to reveal the detailed red chassis and roll cage complete with engine, exhausts and suitably-attired driver. The model is fitted with Whizz Wheels (appropriately enough!) with nicely detailed silver hubs and authentic treadless drag 'slicks'. There are dolly wheels at the rear - these are to prevent the car flipping over when the front lifts under fierce acceleration.
This dragster is in excellent condition with just a few very small rubs at the corners. The box is original and in good condition with undamaged window, but some creasing on the back and one end flap, the latter having a partly torn hinge.
