This is a model of the 1071cc Mini Cooper 'S' that Paddy Hopkirk drove to victory in the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally. The Corgi model is correct in many details, including the racing numbers and roof light. In the works team colours of red with white roof, the model has pale yellow interior and 'jewelled' headlights. There are Monte Carlo decals on the bonnet and boot, and racing number decals on the doors.
The model is in excellent condition with some light rubbing on raised edges and a small chip on one front corner. Some of the plating has rubbed off the roof light. The decals are all intact, albeit somewhat aged, and the tyres are excellent. In its original box, which has slight creasing and wear to the edges of the flaps. Complete with Corgi Model Club slip.
