You don't see many mobile butchers' shops any more! This early Corgi model is in very pale blue, almost white, with mid blue roof and grey base. This is the early version, without suspension and with flat spun wheels with black tyres. Cuts of meat are shown hanging in the side windows, and if you look through the rear windows you can see the serving counter and the butcher himself! This model is usually found with blue and white 'FAMILY BUTCHERS' and 'MOBILE BUTCHERS SHOP labels, but this one has been factory-fitted with the red and white labels normally found on the 407 Mobile Shop, which was in production at the same time: 'HOME SERVICES' on the front above the windscreen, and 'HYGIENIC MOBILE SHOP' on the sides. This is a rare, although not unheard-of variant.
A very nice example, with just a few small paint chips and only a little wear to the labels. The tyres are excellent too. The model comes in its original box which is the early blue type. It has some general age wear, particularly on the edges of the flaps, but is not bad considering it is over 65 years old!
