A favourite with family motorists in the 1960s, the Ford Cortina was originally known as the Ford Consul Cortina but the 'Consul' part of the name was soon dropped.
This Dinky model is in light blue with silver bumpers, grille and headlights, red rear lights and satin black baseplate. The interior is beige and features a black steering wheel and tipping front seats. Both doors open, and the model has suspension and 'Prestomatic' fingertip steering.
The paintwork is in very good condition with light chipping, mainly along raised body lines and edges. The tyres are excellent. The box has lost one end flap but is otherwise good, with light general wear. A price of 5/3 (five shillings and threepence) is written on the remaining end flap.
