This is the first version of the 27a Massey-Harris tractor - it was renumbered to 300 in 1954. In red with 'MASSEY-HARRIS' lettering in yellow on the sides, and black steering wheel, exhaust and driver's seat. Cast metal driver in tan with pink face and hands. The wheels are cast metal with unpainted treads and yellow centres, and the tinplate base is black. The front axle carrier may be positioned to steer the tractor, and at the rear is a tinplate hook for coupling a Dinky trailer, hay rake, harrow or other implement.
This example is good-to-excellent. Ther e are a few paint chips on the engine cover and mudguards, but the exhaust, steering wheel and driver are intact and there is very little loss to the decals. There is light surface rust on the front axle, but the base is rust-free.
