A classic Dinky! This Foden is in satin chocolate brown with black chassis and mudguards. The 1st type DG 'exposed radiator' cab has silver grille, headlights, bumper and side flashes. This is an early issue without a tow hook or tank slits in the chassis, and with a '20' sign on one rear mudguard. The wheels have brown ridged hubs with the correct black 'herringbone' tyres, including the rear-mounted spare.
This is a lovely example with just a few tiny rubs on the rear sides. The tyres are very good too; a couple of them have slight flat spots. The axles and mottled tinplate base are rust-free.
In an early plain card box with a red, white and greyscale illustrated label on top and a red and white label on one end. A price of 10/- (ten shillings) is written in pencil on the end label.
