A classic Dinky model, this 4-axle lorry has a violet-blue cab and chassis and an orange flatbed. The type 1 cab has orange side flashes and silver bumper, grille and headlights. This example has 'tank slits' in the chassis, 6 small slits for mounting the tinplate tank in the 14-ton Tanker version, number 504. The ridged wheels are mid blue with black treaded tyres.
This example has general paint chipping around the edges, and there is some repainting on the roof and front of the cab. The tyres are good; a couple of them have slight flat spots. There is rust on the axles and baseplate, suggesting water damage which is also evident in the wrinkled sides of the box lid. The box is blue with orange, white and grey label, the latter having some wear and discolouration. One end is marked with '903' and a price of 7/9 (seven shillings and ninepence).
