This 4-axle Foden has the 2nd type 'FG' cab and is finished in maroon with maroon flatbed and posts with dimpled bosses. The cab has silver trim to the grille, headlights and bumpers. One of the rear mudguards has a 20 MPH speed limit sign - this was the maximum speed for goods vehicles in the UK until 1957. At the rear are a tow hook and spare tyre. The wheels are the metal Supertoys type, in red with black treaded tyres.
This example is excellent, with bright paintwork and only a few very small chips and rubs. The chain and posts are intact, the mottled tinplate base and axles are rust-free, and the tyres are excellent.
The blue lidded box has an orange and white wrap-round label on the lid, with a greyscale picture of the model. The lid is rather faded and there is some light wear, although no splits or tears.
