This 4-axle Foden has the 2nd type 'FG' cab and is finished in dark green with dark green flatbed and posts with rounded bosses. The cab has silver trim to the grille, headlights and bumpers. One of the rear mudguards has a 20 MPH speed limit sign - this was the maximum speed for goods vehicles in the UK until 1957. At the rear are a tow hook and spare tyre. The wheels are the metal Supertoys type, in mid green with black treaded tyres.
This example is excellent, with bright paintwork. There are some small chips on the edge of the mudguards and flatbed, and a tiny paint imperfection on the cab roof. The mottled tinplate base has a small patch of surface rust, but the axles are rust-free and the tyres are excellent.
The striped lidded box has light wear but no splits. There is a little tear on one edge of the lid. This model was renumbered from 505 in 1954, and this is a dual numbered box with both old and new numbers on one end of the lid.
