This is the earlier 'Kent Fire Brigade' version of the Shand-Mason Fire Engine. This model is drawn by 2 white cast metal horses with grey manes and tails, and gold collars. The fire engine itself is red (of course!) with 'brass' pump and black metal spoked wheels. The rear step has 11 slats, marking this as an early casting: later ones had the slats filled in as the die deteriorated.
This one is generally excellent with only a few small paint chips and undamaged decals. However, one of the three firemen is missing, and one of the remaining two has only one leg.
