Lucy's Little Garden was an attempt by Britains to re-launch the Floral Garden Range. It first appeared in the 1976 catalogue as Katy's Little Garden but the name was quickly changed - maybe Katy objected! The range consisted of a very limited selection of the 'old' Floral Garden items, with flower heads moulded in a rather brighter plastic and including white roses which had not been produced before. There was only one set - this one - and 4 flower and wall packs. Not surprisingly Lucy's Little Garden was not a great success (even Lucy doesn't look very happy about it in the picture on the pack) and it made its last appearance in the 1978 catalogue.
The set is blister packed and sealed so it is difficult to verify the contents, but the approximate contents are:
22 Daffodil plants
22 Tulip plants
6 Lupin plants
6 Delphinium plants
6 Rose bushes, red and white flowers
8 Aster plants
1 Wall section
1 Willow tree
3 Rectangular beds and 2 Quarter beds
1 Silver planting tool
The backing card has one press-out lawn section and 3 press-out crazy paving sections, 1 large and 2 small.
This example is complete and unused, although the press-out panels of the backing card are detached, The bags containing the plants are unopened.
