This early Corgi Major consists of a yellow 'Big Bedford' tractor unit with an articulated metallic blue trailer. The trailer is designed for hauling heavy machinery and has a long, double-hinged loading ramp to provide a gentle slope for ease of loading. There is a Corgi dog logo decal on the rear. The trailer is equipped with a working winch which is operated by a handle.
The tractor unit, which can be decoupled, has a grey cast metal base, silver trim and clear windows. The wheels are of the later shaped spun metal type with black tyres.
This lovely old model is in good condition. There is some light chipping around the edges, and some scuffing on the rear edge of the cab roof. The winch is in full working order with original cord and spring-loaded plastic 'grabber'. The decal on the rear has just a little loss around the edges, but there is a light scratch next to it. The tyres are original and in excellent condition.
The model comes in its original lidded box, which is fair-to-good; the lid has edge wear, surface tears and tape repairs. The bottom half is better, and still has its internal packing piece.
