This transporter is designed to carry four Corgi cars. The 'Big Bedford' tractor unit is finished in red with silver trim and clear glazed windows. The transporter trailer and rear ramp are blue with silver trim, and the top deck is light grey. The top deck can be lowered for loading. The trailer has 'Corgi Car Transporter' decals on the side and there is a Corgi logo and number plate on the rear ramp. Wheels are the early smooth metal type with black tyres.
This example is in played-with condition, with moderate general play wear, heavier on the cab which has somewhat faded paint. It is also rather dusty, so would benefit from cleaning. There decals have very little loss. One of the tyres on the tractor unit is a modern replacement, while the others appear to be original.
The lidded box has faded on top but has no splits, and still has the original packing piece inside. A price of 18/6 (eighteen shillings and sixpence) is written in pencil on one end of the bottom part.
