Some people say the Mercedes 600 Pullman was the original stretch limo, although it was part of the Mercedes Benz range rather than a conversion. The model's paintwork is metallic maroon with cream interior and chrome plated bumpers, side trim and grille.
True to Corgi's policy of pioneering new features, this model has the unusual feature of working windscreen wipers. Flick a switch on the underside of the car and the wipers move back and forth as the model is pushed along. The screen even has a textured surface to give the impression of raindrops! The rear side windows also slide up and down.
This example is in very near mint condition, with the chrome plating is particularly good. There are some slight factory paint irregularities on the bonnet and boot. The box is good, although it has suffered some crushing and there is some creasing and a puncture wound on one 'plain' side. The original instruction leaflet is still present. A price of 8/6 (eight shillings and sixpence) is written in pencil on one end of the box.
