This model of a Volkswagen 1200 'Beetle' in East African Safari Rally trim is packed with features! The front wheels are steerable, and are operated by turning the spare wheel on the roof. The bonnet opens, as does the rear engine cover which reveals a detailed silver engine. Finished in orange-red with silver plated metal base and bumpers and brown interior. There is an East African Safari badge on the bonnet, racing number 18 decals on the doors, and a 'Nairobi' sticker in the rear window. Other detailing includes jewelled headlights and rear mudflaps.
The model is in fair-to-good condition with light general paint chipping/rubbing. There is a little wear to the labels, but all labels and decals are present. The tyres have hardened somewhat with age but are not cracked. The steering wheel has come away from the dashboard and is loose within the interior.
This model should come with a charging rhinoceros figure, but it is missing.
