This is the first version of the Corgi Lotus Elan S2, in metallic steel blue with black interior, tan dashboard and red tail lights. The bonnet opens to reveal a detailed chrome plated engine, and the front grille is plated also. The seats tip - although there are no rear seats to gain access to - and the side windows slide up and down. The decal on the boot lid features the 1960s Esso slogan 'I've got a tiger in my tank', with tiger logo. The wheels have shaped spun nubs and black tyres and suspension. The model is complete with driver, with white overalls and blue helmet.
This example is in excellent condition, very near mint. There are some small factory paint irregularities on the bonnet. The box is original and excellent too; one end flap is a little crumpled. A price of 5/6 (five shillings and sixpence) is written in pencil on one face.
Note: there is no racing number sticker sheet or cardboard packing piece.
