This is a model of the only Cunningham C-5R racing car ever built, and which enjoyed some success at Le Mans and elsewhere. Finished in off-white with black grille, brown interior and dark blue racing stripes with racing numbers 31 on the bonnet and doors. Silver headlights. The driver has light blue racing overalls and helmet. The base is mottled black tinplate and the wheels are mid blue with smooth black tyres.
In good played-with condition with light general play wear, particularly at the from and rear ends There is a little rubbing to the stripes, but the numbers are unmarked. The windscreen and driver are intact. The tyres have deteriorated and are misshapen, apart from one which is a replacement and is slightly smaller than the others.
The box is age worn and has lost all 3 flaps from one end. A price of 3/11 (three shillings and elevenpence) is written on the other end.
