As featured in the UK television series 'UFO'. This was a 1970s sci-fi series produced by Gerry Anderson, also famous for 'Thunderbirds' and 'Captain Scarlet'. The series was about an organisation called 'SHADO' which was dedicated to defending the Earth against alien attack.
In metallic green with unpainted metal missile holder and engine nozzle, orange skids, boosters and front panel. Clear, untinted cockpit canopy. 'S.H.A.D.O.' and orange stripe labels. A lever on the side fires the yellow and black front-mounted missile, and another lever on the underside resets the firing mechanism.
This example is in lovely mint condition. The window box has some general wear, with crumpling to the window and box front, which has a small tear. There is an old price label on the back. The internal two-piece expanded polystyrene packing is as new.
