From the Gerry Anderson TV series 'U.F.O.', first broadcast in 1970. This revolved around an organisation called SHADO, dedicated to defending Earth against aliens.
The SHADO 2 is a tracked vehicle with a concealed missile launcher. In the Dinky model, the spring-loaded roof flips over when the radar at the rear is turned, to reveal the missile launcher. The launcher can be swivelled and the elevation adjusted, and the missile really fires - it's quite powerful, so be careful!
The Dinky model, which is satisfyingly heavy, is finished in green with yellow interior and pale green base, and the roof has an orange underside. The tracks are silver, on brown rollers. There are 'Shado 2' labels on each side of the body.
This is an excellent example, with light rubbing around the top edges of the rear body. Everything works as it should, and the tracks and labels are very well-preserved. The early card box has some general wear, with a part-torn hinge on one flap and a small tear in one corner.
