This delightful pre-war set consists of 44a AA Box (hut), 44b AA motorcycle Patrol, 44c AA Guide directing traffic, and 44d AA Guide saluting. The AA box is printed tinplate with movable 'LONDON-GLASGOW-LIVERPOOL' signs on top. The figures have brown AA uniforms with caps and black boots; the standing figures are cast in lead. The motorcycle is black with silver detailing, yellow sidecar with AA badge on the front, and light grey rubber wheels. The set comes mounted on a pictorial background/stand, inside a blue lidded box with set details printed on the ends of the lid.
This set is complete, with a little play wear. The standing guides are in excellent condition. The hut has a little corrosion on the roof and around the edges of the base. There is some paint chipping on the sidecar's mudguards and the rider's cap. The wheels are excellent.
The card background has some general light ageing but no tears. The outer box has a mottled lid, around the edge of which is some light wear, and there is a small surface tear on one end. A price of 1/11 (one shilling and elevenpence) is written in pencil on the underside.
