This 4-axle Foden tanker is an early issue with the 1st type DG 'exposed radiator' cab. The cab and chassis are violet blue, with mid blue tank. The cab has mid blue side flashes, bumper, grille and headlights. The tinplate tank has a black ladder and walkway. At the rear is a spare wheel, tow hook and '20' decal. The mid blue ridged wheels have black treaded tyres.
This example in excellent condition, with almost unmarked paintwork. There are some tiny nicks on the front corner of the cab and on the edge of the mudguards. There is a little patch of rust on the front end of the walkway slight patches of surface rust on the axles. The tyres are excellent. In an original green lidded box with red and white wrap-around label with monochrome illustration.
In an early brown lidded box with orange, white and black illustrated label. The staples are rusty and the label has some staining, and one corner of the lid is split.
