This early version of the 511 Guy is fawn, with red chassis and mudguards. The type 1 cab casting has a silver grille and headlights, and at the rear is a small unpainted tow hook. The wheels are the ridged type in matching red, with smooth black tyres.
This one is in very nice condition with bright paintwork. There are a few little nicks, mainly on the edges of the mudguards, and a small area of paint loss on one side of the rear body. The tyres are excellent and the axles rust-free, although there is a small amount of surface rust on the spare tyre holder.
The box is the early plain brown card type, with labels on the top and one end of the lid. The top label is red and white with a monochrome illustration, and the end label is o red and white with the correct colour spot and a handwritten price of 6/9 (six shillings and ninepence). The box is generally in good condition, but the staples are rusty.
