This is a large, imposing model of a 49-seater luxury coach from the 1960s. This is the second version of this model, in off-white with blue interior and maroon and silver side flashes on foil labels. The base is grey and the spun metal wheels have black tyres.
The model has an opening rear luggage compartment and four jewelled headlights, but its most distinctive feature is the battery-operated flasing indicator lights, activated by the 'Prestomatic' steering and made to flash by a cam on the rear axle which opens and shuts contacts.
Unfortunately this one has lost one of its indicator bulbs, and, more importantly, its metal mounting. The other indicator is intact, and the bulb has been tested out of the vehicle. Some cleaning and adjustment of the contacts would be necessary to make it flash when turning left.
Appearance-wise the model is in excellent condition. There is one small chip on the roof towards the front, and some rubbing on the wheel arches and raised body lines,on
The model comes in its original box which is the later end-flap type, and in good condition with light wear and creasing, There is some writing in pen on one end flap.
