A Dinky Toy classic! Orange-yellow crane mounted on an orange 6-wheel lorry chassis. The crane is fully operational: it has two handles that are turned to raise and lower the jib and the hook respectively, and the whole crane can be slewed on the chassis. The crane body is also hinged at the rear so that it can be opened for cord replacement. This is the earliest release of the model, with drivers in both the lorry and the crane cabs. On the rear of the crane is a 'Coles' logo in black. The wheels are yellow metal, and are fitted with grey tyres.
In excellent condition; there are a few chips/rubs on top of the crane jib and around the mudguards and body edges. However, the paintwork is bright and shiny, and the impression is of a toy that has played-with carefully (and probably much loved). There is a little box rubbing to the Coles logo on the rear, and the original tyres have very slight flat spots. The winding cords and hook are original, and the bare metal parts are rust-free.
The model comes in its original Supertoys box which is good-to-excellent, with light wear but no splits. It still has its two internal packing pieces. A price of 17/6 (seventeen shillings and sixpence) is written lightly in pencil on top of the lid.
