This is one of the 'regular wheel' Matchbox models that survived the transition to Superfast wheels, albeit briefly, without major alteration. The adjustable suspension of the original version was deleted and 5-spoke Superfast wheels fitted with black axle covers, but otherwise the model is identical, in red with grey rear panel, blue tinted windows and dome light, white plastic ladder and 'Kent Fire Brigade' labels.
This example is in excellent condition, with just one small chip on the roof edge. It comes in the correct 'Superfast' box, which has some small dents in both picture faces and staining around the edges. There is a small tear at one corner, and one end flap has been reattached with tape on the inside, and has a price label on it. The box displays well though..
This Superfast version was deleted within a year to make way for the 57d Caravan, so is quite scarce today.
