This Matchbox model had a slightly confused identity; it is described on the base as a Jaguar 3.4 litre, but as a Jaguar 3.8 Sedan on the type C box (and the 1964 catalogue). Regardless of its engine size, the model is metallic red with silver grille and front bumper and silver painted base and tow hook. The opening bonnet reveals a detailed silver engine. With green tinted windows, and silver plastic wheels on rust-free rounded axles.
A very nice near mint example, with bright paintwork. There are small rubs on the front edge of the bonnet where it has been lifted, and a slight factory paint imperfection at the rear edge. The type C 'New Model' box is bright, crisp and very near mint too.
