This set consists of a Berliet articulated bridge-laying truck, with orange-red plastic bridge sections that can be used to build a bridge over 1.3 metres in length.
The tractor unit has a light tan cab with dark brown chassis and grille. The interior is black and the windows amber tinted. On the white roof panel are unpainted metal air horns and twin blue lights. The cab tilts to reveal a silver-grey engine, and the bumper and fuel tank are silver plated.
The 3-axle trailer, which may be uncoupled, has dark brown and red articulated bridge-laying arm, and can carry one of the three centrally-hinged bridge sections at a time. By turning the silver metal tab on the side, the bridge section is offloaded and unfolded in a single action, resting on pairs of beige plastic piers with cross pieces. Thus the bridge may be laid one section at a time. The bridge sections have yellow and black warning labels, with height restriction labels on the central section.
This model is in very near mint condition, just a small rub where the bridge-laying arm has rested on the trailer. The box is good, with general crushing and wear at the ends and a tear in one front corner. The window and inner tray are undamaged, and the instruction sheet is still present. The rear of the box depicts a river and can be used as a layout mat; there and location slots for the bridge pillars.
