This early King Size set consists of an orange Scammell 6x6 tractor with a matching low-loading trailer with a Caterpillar Tractor load. There are yellow and black 'LAING' decals on the sides of the tractor and trailer, these being the later type with thicker lettering. The Scammell has silver grille and base, green tinted windows, and unpainted metal wheels with black tyres.. The Caterpillar tractor has a red engine, and green tracks on unpainted metal rollers.
This example has been carefully played with. There are some small rubs and chips around the edges, but nothing major although there is some rust on the axles. The decals are undamaged, and the Caterpillar tracks, although hardened with age, are intact. The box does have some general age wear. The inner tray has one damaged end flap, and some surface tears on the other. The outer sleeve has a tape mark running all along one edge and a light crease on one plain side.
